About the event
This is a three day workshop where we employ various natural building methods including cob and many other clay-based materials to build the walls of a retreat center.
We will discuss:
~ how to test soil for clay content
~ratios and options for binding material
~the different recipes for cob, quinche, wattle & daub, and light straw clay
~the different mixtures for successive plaster layers
